Family planning can be achieved by using Birth Control Methods.

Family planning can be achieved by using Birth Control Methods.
What is Birth Control Method?
The birth Control method is referred to as the method used to prevent a woman from becoming pregnant for as long as she wishes.
Research has shown that many parents decide to have a few children so that they can afford to take care of them, provide for their feeding, housing, clothing, and most importantly, education and medical care.
You can agree with me that without family planning, the population of a country can increase indiscriminately and may not be able to match the available food and other resources. And this can cause hunger, food shortage, famine, or even death can occur.
Misconception about family planning.
It is very important to note that family planning is centered on the prevention of pregnancy rather than termination of life. The whole concept/idea of family planning is to prevent pregnancy and not to commit murder.
When family planning is carefully carried out, the issue of unwanted pregnancy will be prevented.

What are the methods of family planning/birth Control?
Types of family planning/birth control methods.
Birth control or family planning could be categorized or grouped into Two major methods. These are:
A. Natural family planning methods.
B. Modern family planning methods.
What are the natural methods of family planning?
The natural methods of family planning are:
1. Breast feeding :
There is a delay in the fertility of women during breastfeeding as the women do not menstruate. This helps to prevent pregnancy. However, this method is not reliable.
The exclusive Breastfeeding method of birth control is also called the Lactational Amenorrhea Method of birth control, or LAM. Exclusive breastfeeding (by itself) is 98-99.5% effective in preventing pregnancy as long as all of the following conditions are met:
(i) Your baby is less than six months old.
(ii) Your menstrual periods have not yet returned.
(iii) Baby is breastfeeding on cue (both day & night), and gets nothing but breastmilk or only very small amounts of other foods.
2. Abstaining from Sex :
This is a very reliable method. In other words, Sex is only done when the couple desire to get pregnant. The husband and the wife meet sexually only when they intend to make babies.
3. Withdrawal Method :
withdrawal method involves the withdrawal of the penis of the man from the vagina of the woman exactly when the man is about to ejaculate so that sperm are released outside. Sometimes, sperms may be released into the vagina before the withdrawal is done either voluntarily or involuntarily.
In other words, the withdrawal method is not a reliable method of birth control.
4. Billings method:
This is also known as the Cervical Mucus Billing Ovulation method. Billings method is a natural family planning method that uses the evaluation of cervical mucus to predict ovulation.
When ovulation of a woman is about to occur, the cervical glands are simulated to produce a thick and cloudy mucus which could be observed on tissue paper or on a woman’s pants. This mucus later becomes thin and slippery looking like an Albumen of an egg. This thin and slippery mucus stretches out without breaking when you place it between your two fingers. This is the ovulation period and unprotected Sex must be avoided if pregnancy is not needed.
5. Basal Body Temperature Method :
During the ovulation period, a woman’s body temperature rises above normal. The basal body temperature method is a technique used in family planning. Basal temperature is the temperature of your body when you are completely at rest. After a woman ovulates (releases an egg from the ovary), her body temperature rises slightly. For a woman to know her Ovulation-period, she must take her temperature every morning. when her temperature rises above normal, she is on her ovulation period and must not have unprotected sex.
This method is not all that reliable because faulty thermometer may give an inaccurate temperature results and a cold-weather may also reduce the body temperature at ovulation.
Basal body temperature method is 99% reliable and effective in the first year of use, if monitored correctly and consistently. That notwithstanding, ,the method is less effective if the woman does not monitor her temperature accurately or if she has unprotected sex in the fertile period of the cycle (including during menstrual flow).
Avoiding sex until several days after ovulation may help you prevent pregnancy. Then, 24 hours after the egg’s release, your temperature rises and stays up for several days.
6. Calander or Rhythm method:
This method of family planning involves the use of a calendar to predict the Ovulation of a woman based on the duration of the previous Menstrual Cycles.
The calculation of the Ovulation period in a woman is based on the following three assumptions:
(i) Ovulation occurs 14 days before the body starts preparing for another menstrual cycle.
(I) Sperms can stay alive for 2–3 days.
(i) ovum can stay alive for 24 hours.
A woman has to take accurate records of her menstrual cycles for 6– 12 months. With this, she can easily know her ovulation period and stop having Sex seven days before and after ovulation.
This method is not all that reliable as sometimes miscalculations of the ovulation period may occur, and if unprotected sex is done, pregnancy may occur.
